# 9 head sketch

This sketch of a rough and a Smooth head shows desired planes in profile; the same wedge when viewed from front or profile, a 'coffin' wedge not a 'pie' wedge, the balance of muzzle to
backskull, desired eye and ear placement with correct expression.
M. Kummer is the artist.

#10 tri-colored rough male

# 11 tri-colored rough male

Shows a very good head in profile with
correct parallel planes, correctly place stop;
'coffin' wedge, a smooth full round muzzle
with a good underjaw despite the white spot
which from a distance could create an illusion
of a weak underjaw, good lip line and
there is no depth to the head.

This is the same dog that was used in
the profile shot. Again can see the good coffin
shape wedge. Shows a clean and correctly
placed stop, a smooth muzzle, an almond
eye, all contributing to the very pleasing
expression. There is good balance
of muzzle to backskull

# 12 sable rough male

# 13 blue merle rough bitch

Shows a good coffin shape wedge, with
a clean and correctly placed stop, a smooth muzzle, and good balance of muzzle to
backskull. The thumb print can be seen
in the ear. The eyes are smaller than the
tri's but still acceptable, pleasing expression though different than the tri's partially
due to color.

A very balanced, feminine head, a coffin wedge, a clean and correctly placed stop, smooth muzzle, correct eye, good balance of muzzle to backskull, very pleasing expression which again is different than either the sable's or the tri's due to coloring. If the black spot under her right eye were on the show side it could create an
optical illusion in profile.
